Privacy Notice — Dad Stretch Club

This Privacy Notice explains how Ben Jolliffe ("we", "us", "our"), operating the Dad Stretch Club service (the "Service"), collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information. We act as the data controller for the personal data described here.

1. Personal data we collect

Contact and account data — your mobile phone number, your chosen daily send time, and your timezone.
Service usage data — the dates you check in ("done") from the daily text link, your streak, referral code, and whether the daily text is currently active or paused.
Subscription and billing status — subscription status, current billing period end, cancellation state, and identifiers linking your account to Paddle. Payment card details are collected and held by Paddle, not by us.
Technical data — standard server logs (such as IP address, user-agent, and timestamps) generated when you use the Service.
Support communications — anything you send us if you contact support.

2. How we use your data

To send you the daily stretching text and record your check-ins (performance of our contract with you).
To manage your account settings, streak, referrals, and preferences (performance of our contract with you).
To operate the subscription and grant access to paid features (performance of our contract with you).
To keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and troubleshoot issues (legitimate interests).
To respond to your support requests and comply with legal obligations.

3. Who we share data with

Paddle — our Merchant of Record and payments processor, which handles checkout, subscription billing, tax compliance, invoicing, and refunds. See Paddle's privacy notice.
Twilio — our SMS delivery provider, which transmits the daily text to your phone.
Supabase — our database and application backend host.
Lovable — the platform that hosts the web application and serverless functions.
Professional advisers (e.g. legal, accounting) where reasonably needed.
Authorities where required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

4. International transfers

Our service providers may process your data outside your country of residence, including in the United States and the United Kingdom. Where applicable law requires, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the providers' equivalent mechanisms.

5. Retention

We keep your account data while your Service is active and for a reasonable period afterward to handle billing, disputes, and legal obligations, then delete or anonymize it. You can ask us to close your account and delete your data at any time (see section 7).

6. Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege access to production systems. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to our processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise these rights, email hello@dad-stretch-club.lovable.app. If you are in the UK or EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law (typically within one month for UK/EEA requests).

8. Cookies

The Service uses only essential cookies and local storage necessary to make the site function (for example, to keep you on your current page after a checkout redirect). We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Paddle may set cookies during checkout to process your payment.

9. Text messaging

By providing your phone number and signing up, you consent to receive one SMS message per day at the time you selected. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or manage your preferences from the link in the daily text.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
